Apple Health
Timefully integrates with Apple Health to record your meditation sessions as Mindful Minutes. This keeps all your wellness data in one place and lets you see how meditation fits into your overall health picture. This guide covers connection, data sync, and privacy.
Connecting to Apple Health
- Open Timefully and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Apple Health and tap Connect.
- When prompted, tap Turn On All to grant Timefully access to write Mindful Minutes (and optionally read other data).
- Confirm the permissions in the Health app dialog.
Tip: You only need to connect once. Timefully will continue syncing sessions automatically.
What Data Syncs
Timefully writes the following to Apple Health:
- Mindful Minutes: Each completed meditation session is recorded with its duration and date. This appears under Browse > Mindfulness > Mindful Minutes in the Health app.
- Session metadata: Start time, duration, and (optionally) preset name may be included depending on Health's data model.
Timefully does not write heart rate or HRV to Health by default—those are stored in the app. If you use the Watch app with health tracking, check Timefully's Health settings for additional sync options.
Viewing Meditation Data in Health
- Open the Health app on your iPhone.
- Tap Browse (or Summary), then Mindfulness.
- Tap Mindful Minutes to see your meditation history.
- Use the tabs (Day, Week, Month, Year) to view trends.
- Scroll down to see which apps contributed data—Timefully will appear when it has written sessions.
Combining with Other Apps
If you use other mindfulness apps (e.g., Headspace, Calm), their Mindful Minutes will appear alongside Timefully's. Health aggregates all sources so you can see your total mindful time.
Privacy Considerations
- Your data stays yours: Apple Health stores data on your device and in your iCloud (if enabled). Timefully does not receive or store your Health data on its own servers.
- Permissions: You can revoke Timefully's Health access anytime in Health > Browse > Mindfulness > Data Sources & Access. Timefully will stop writing new sessions but existing data remains in Health.
- Minimal access: Timefully requests only the permissions it needs. You can deny read access to other categories if you prefer.
Note: Disconnecting Health does not delete previously synced Mindful Minutes—they remain in the Health app.
