Profiles

Profiles let you separate different meditation practices, goals, or contexts. Use one profile for morning meditation, another for evening wind-down, or for different family members.

What Are Profiles?

A profile is a separate space within Timefully that includes:

  • Presets – Own set of presets.
  • Statistics – Separate session history and stats.
  • Trees – Independent tree growth.
  • Settings – Customize bells, sounds, and goals per profile.

Use case: One profile for "Morning Meditation" and another for "Sleep Preparation" with different presets and goals.

Creating Multiple Profiles

  1. Go to SettingsProfiles.
  2. Tap Add Profile or +.
  3. Enter a name (e.g., "Morning 10 min" or "Evening Wind-down").
  4. Tap Create.

Your new profile is ready. Switch to it to start configuring presets and settings.

Switching Between Profiles

  1. Go to SettingsProfiles.
  2. Tap the profile you want to use.
  3. Or use the profile switcher on the home screen if available.

Tip: The active profile is shown at the top of the home screen or in settings. All sessions are attributed to the active profile.

Profile Types

Profile types are flexible—you define what each profile is for:

  • Personal – Your main meditation practice.
  • Family – Different practices for different people (e.g., parent vs child).
  • Context – Morning vs evening, work vs home, etc.

Note: There's no technical limit on how many profiles you can create. Use as many as you need.

Managing Presets Per Profile

Each profile has its own presets:

  1. Switch to the profile.
  2. Add, edit, or delete presets as usual.
  3. Presets from other profiles are not visible here.

Example: Profile "Morning" might have presets for 5, 10, and 15 minutes. Profile "Evening" might have presets for 20 min with sleep sounds.

Profile-Specific Statistics

  1. Go to Statistics.
  2. Use the profile filter or profile selector.
  3. View stats for the selected profile only.

Use case: Compare morning vs evening practice, or track progress for each family member separately.

Best Practices

  • Name clearly – Use names that describe the purpose (e.g., "Quick Morning" vs "Deep Evening").
  • Set goals per profile – Each profile can have its own frequency goals.
  • Use profiles for variety – Different presets for different intentions without cluttering one list.
